Does anybody else care?
So I am just a tad bit irritated at this moment and need desperately to vent. Jakob's 1st birthday is coming up and of course it has turned into a disaster. In order to make PEOPLE happy Mark and I agreed to have his birthday in Lubbock so that everyone there could attend. For very obvious reasons his FIRST birthday is important to us. After all, Jakob is our miracle baby that was not supposed to be here. However, him and I both beat the odds and now it is time to celebrate. Or so we thought. Jakob's party is going to be on September 20th at my mom and dad's house. Dad has said that he is going to cook out and then of course there will be cake and ice cream. I love my folks. Thanks mom and dad for helping out since we live so far away. Anyways, now why am I angry you ask? Well let me tell you. My best friend in the whole wide world (she is like my other sister) has decided that she and her husband are going to have a garage sale and move that weekend. My cousin and his crew are going out of town. And finally, some of our family members are fighting with each other and can't stand to be in the same room with one another. HELLO PEOPLE...this is not about you this is about Jakob. You all have known that he was turning one this month. Oh well, at least me, Mark, and Kai will be there.

I understand how you feel. I have learned that the most important people are you, daddy, brothers, and sisters. I DO think the first birthday is important not to mention the funnest. I love it when the cake gets brought out and the first thing in it is the birthday kids' fist! I have only missed one first birthday and it was little Melanie's (Thayne & Amber). I feel awful about missing it and can never make it up to her because she very well could not have it to her first birthday as well. My heart goes out to you and I hope that eveything turns out for the better. Summer
