Jakob's Pop (my daddy) picked out this cake. I thought it was too cute. Way to go dad!

So after a delay of 2 weeks we finally got to have Jakob's 1st birthday party. My daddy cooked out for everyone and I must say that it was delish. I just love it when my dad cooks out. Jakob got lots of cute clothes for the fall and winter and some awesome toys and books. My favorite thing though was the toy box that my dad made for him. Mom and dad get all the kids a toy box for their 1st birthday. He has so much stuff that the toy box was much needed, so thanks mom and dad. Jakob also got a cool ball pit from his TuTu and Poppa (Mark's parents) and he loves playing in it. Santa will have to bring more balls for it though because it only came with 20. I think Jakob's favorite thing about his birthday was the cake. We had got him his very own cake to dig into. At first he kept looking at Mark and I wondering if we knew that he was wanting to eat it by himself. It was so funny! After he realized that we weren't going to freak out, he dug in. The end result was messy to say the least but well worth it to see him so happy! I love my baby boy!
