Our crazy weekend (aka Memorial Day)

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. Here is a synopsis of how ours went at the Hurst casa.

Thursday-Kai gets an award for being the smartest 1st grader at school. Load up the car and head to Houston. Go downtown to close on our home. The lender is 2 hrs late with paperwork. Take kids to see the house. Jakob locks himself in the bathroom and we call the cops to get him out. Luckily as the aforementioned cops show up Mark has managed to break the door and get Jake out.

Friday-move into home

Saturday-unpacking continues. Jan comes over to help unpack and spends the night since her AC is broke and Dean is in the swamps dealing with the BP crap.

Sunday-go to Bay City to visit Bompa. I would say that was fun but I would be lieing. However, it was good to see Bompa and Dodo and EJ.

Monday-unpack the rest of the boxes. Go to Jan and Dean's for a cookout. Eat steaks and swim and then head home. We are exhausted at this point.

Glad to be finally moved into our new home and unpacked. Now only if I could get my hubby to hang up the pictures.
