Merry CHRISTmas
I guess it is about time I posted how our Christmas went. Well to be honest it pretty much sucked but that is for another post later on. We tried to make the most out of Christmas for our kids considering everything else going on in our lives and for the most part I think we did pretty darn good. Christmas Eve was pretty typical for us. Kai and I did a bang up job of making cookies and candy treats for all of us to munch on. Jakob was being his usual Jakob self by making us laugh even when he makes us mad. That night the kids actually decided that they were ready for bed at 8:30 so Mark read them "The Night Before Christmas" and to bed they went. Santa showed up sometime around 10ish and ate his cookies and drank his dr. pepper. We always leave SC some DP because we figure by the time he gets to the Hurst house he is all milked out. Kai woke us up at 11:30 that night all ready to get the party started but we had to let her know that we would not be getting up before 7am so back to bed she went. Christmas morning the kids were of course happy to see what goodies Santa brought them. They were not disappointed. Santa makes it a priority to pretty much get them what they want. This year it was bikes. The traditional Christmas Story was read from Luke. Breakfast was made and playing was done. That night Mark's parents came over for a traditional Texas BBQ dinner of brisket, potato salad, beans, rolls, and cobbler. YUMMY! And that is a quick summary of our Christmas.
