Rewind February 15th please!

I am in serious need of a do-over for today. Today has been one of those days when I should have stayed in bed and slept but instead life as I know it had to proceed. Mark is once again gone for the week so I am playing the roles of mom and dad. Somehow Mark and the kids have gotten it in their head that I am superwoman and can do anything. Well the bad day started yesterday to be exact. Our internet and cable went out on Sunday and Mark scheduled a repair man to come out on Monday morning. The problem it seems, stems from the dogs chewing a cable in half. The nice repair man replaced the cable but was unable to bury it under the ground because he did not have the right tools. So this morning another repair man came out and burried the cable. Unfortunately, he left the gate wide open. So when I let the dogs out to potty they ran away without me knowing. Half an hour later when they have not wanted to be let back in I go outside and see my open gate and no dogs in the yard! I had to call Mark and let him know what had happened. He is none to pleased with the repair man for this indiscretion. Six hours later and numerous facebook posyings, phone calls, a trip to the shelter, and praying on my part we goy both dogs back. On top of the dogs going missing I got a jury summons in the mail. Really?! Could my day get any worse? I really shouldn't ask because the answer is always yea. But for now, I am going to climb into my warm bed and wish that today would have never happened and hope that tomorrow will be better.
