What a CRAZY weekend

So my family most definately puts the fun in dysfunctional. Mark and I took the kiddos back home to Lubbock to see my side of the fam. We landed on Thursday night and I must say that the flight was most uneventful. Kai read a book to me while Jake and Mark took a nap. Since the baby crib is in my parents office I ended up crashing on the couch that weekend in there so that I could get up to take care of Jakob at night. I honestly think I got the better end of the deal because Mark had to sleep with Kai and she is a wild sleeper that talks in her sleep! On Friday Kai got to hang out with my gigi (who she adores). Kai had a blast playing in her fort and learning how to crack pecans to eat them. While Kai was doing that Mark took me to lunch (freebirds...yummy!) and then we went and placed flowers on my grandma Tody's grave. I can't believe it has been a year since she left us. But like I have been told she is always with me through my children. Saturday my other grandma (Granny Dee) threw a party to welcome Jakob to the family. It was so thoughtful of her and others to think of us. It really showed Mark and I how blessed we truly are. On Saturday night Mark and I got to forego my grandpa's 70th birthday and go out on our first date since February! We ended up getting tickets to the Tech-OK State football game. Tech kicked ass! The game was so much fun! Well that was it for our weekend. We got home Sunday night and had to get back to reality on Monday morning. Yuck!
