Let the festivities begin!
I LOVE the holidays! The taste, smell, sound, and sight of everything Thanksgiving and Christmas has to offer makes me happy. We spent Thanksgiving down in Houston with Mark's folks. We had a most enjoyable time seeing all of the family. Sarah and her bunch, Aunt Dodo and her crew, Nanny (on pass fom the home) and Bompa, and the Kumars all came over for the feast. And what a feast it was! I even got to try Tur-duc-ken for the first time. I must admit that it was not to shabby. Mark and I got a little shopping done on Friday for the nieces and nephews. We didn't really get anything for our kids because they were with us. Also on Friday we had pictures taken. We decided that we should finally get a family picture done since Jake is now with us! Everything seemed to be going smoothly until early Saturday morning. Jakob woke up coughing and his right eye was closed shut with ooze. I ended up taking him to the ER that day and he was diagnosed with conjuctivitis, an upper respiratory infection, and a sinus infection. I am happy to report that he is doing much better now! For Christmas we are spending a quiet one here at home just the 4 of us. Then the day after that we are heading to the mountains with my folks. I'll be sure to update you all on that!
