Dog bite or lesson for the kiddies?

I have been meaning to post this since it happened but have been so busy. Last Tuesday on the way to get Kai from school I was bitten by a dog. Not just an ordinary dog but my favorite breed of dog, a boston terrier. Not so favorite anymore but I digress. This dog was running around our neighborhood so I got out of the car to see if it had tags to locate the owners. No tags...go figure. Now I know how expensive these dogs are (600-800 benjamins) so I figured that surely it had to belong to someone and had a microchip. The dog let me get close to it and even let me pet him but as soon as I tried to pick him up to place him in the car for the short drive to the vet he bit me. It hurt!! He broke skin so I called the animal control to find out what I needed to do. As soon as animal control came the neighbor came out and said that it belong to a lady on our block named *Lilly. Well too late lady. Animal took the dog into quarantine for 10 days and fined the owner of the dog. Thank goodness it wasn't a stray or I would have had to get a rabies shot. As it stands right now, the dog is at the shelter, the lady is probably pissed, and I am on antibiotics for two weeks. Lesson learned!
