Presidency Message

This is the Presidency Message for Relief Society that I wrote for our newsletter. Enjoy!

Presents, candy, and Santa oh my! Presents, candy, and Santa oh my! With all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season my hope is that we all take the time to remember the true meaning of the holiday. In Chapter 2 in the Book of Luke we read “And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” As a tradition in my family and a reminder to my children of what is important we read the scriptures of the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve. I challenge you all to start this wonderful tradition in your family and hopefully it will act as a reminder to stop for just a moment in your busy lives to remember what the true meaning of Christmas is.
